JOYA DE ARTE & CASA RIVAS MERCADO - CDMX

A collaboration between Mexican jewelry designer Sandra Cepeda and Casa Rivas Mercado with Wild Woman happened  March 2019 in Mexico City. 

Our 7th piece "Leona" was born inspired by the iconic "Angel de la Independencia" and Antonieta Rivas Mercado. 

Huddled Masses, an event organized by feminist run company Claws Out during Design Week Portland had Wild Woman as a guest featuring a "Work in Progress" exhibition benefiting the Immigrant and Refugee Community. 

In July 2019, diMARCO hostedWild Woman showcasing our first piece "Awa" in San Luis Potosi, Mexico in collaboration with Fondo Semillas. 

Portland based Pinkham Millinery collaborated with Wild Woman in creating a custom hat for our "Leona" piece during the local fashion show Fade to Light  produced by Elizabeth Mollo in September 2019. 

The Wild Woman collection traveled to Paris and had the opportunity to showed case their piece #8 in Collaboration with Paris Fashion Vintage boutique on February 2020. The Godaddy team came to document it al

From May 4th through June 5th, the Museum is partnering with designer Myriam Marcela and textile artist Laura Renée Maier in a pop-up exhibition of their luxury clothing collection, WILD WOMAN.   In response to works on view in Mexican Modernism, Marcela and Maier will present their latest piece in the collection, Magdalena, a cape that takes inspiration from Kahlo’s lithograph, Frida and the Miscarriage (1932).
